A good effort but can you clarify the following. When selecting variables from 1996 and then 2001 the themes appear to be drawing on the same boundaries. Unless the data has been proportionally allocated to either the 1996 or 2001 boundary this is a problem because the 1996 and 2001 boundaries differ.
The 1996 data has been aggregated to the 2001 boundaries. There is more detail in the "About the data" section
